Project Overview: 

In early 2024 GJ Mats played a critical role in the M25 Junction 10 improvement scheme, supplying our sturdy hardwood Ekki bog mats to provide a solid foundation for the demolition and construction work. The operation involved the closure of the A3 south of the M25 to facilitate a crucial operation – the demolition of the reinforced concrete Wisley footbridge and the post-tensioned Cockcrow footbridge. 

For us, this project was more than simply demolition and construction, it was about making way for progress with precision, safety, and efficiency.

As a milestone project, the operation was not just a demonstration of demolition expertise but also required seamless collaboration between our GJ Mats team and a wide range of specialist stakeholders, including partners Balfour Beatty Atkins, Chevron, Saferoad, Highway Care, and Clarke Demolition.
